Purposes of processing and retention period
Chronopack collects and processes your data for the purposes described below. In this context, we use both the data you provide to us and the data we collect ourselves (for example, regarding your visit to our website).
We retain personal data for as long as necessary to achieve the intended purposes or for the period required by law (e.g., obligation to retain accounting documents).
Fulfilling your order
To process your order, we need your name, email address, address, delivery address, payment details, and sometimes also your phone number. This allows us to deliver your order and keep you informed about its status. By law, we are required to retain order-related data for seven years.
Newsletters
You can subscribe to our newsletter. It informs you about our offers, special promotions, and new products. You can unsubscribe at any time by emailing info@galandsa.com.
Account
If you wish, you can create a personal account with a username and password. This way, you won’t need to re-enter your details with each new order. In your account, we store your name, email address, postal address, delivery address, payment details, phone number, date of birth (if provided), order history, wish lists, and email preferences. We store this personal data on a secure server. You may request the deletion of your account data at any time. We will in any case delete your data if you have not logged in for seven years.
Reviews
We value feedback from our visitors. We only publish reviews with your consent. If you wish to leave a review on our website, you can choose whether your name or other personal data will be visible to other visitors. You can also use a pseudonym. Finally, you may indicate whether we may contact you regarding your review. We reserve the right to moderate reviews that do not comply with our terms of use. Your review will be retained until you request its deletion.
Improving our services and website
To improve our services and website, we may use your email address to invite you to participate in a satisfaction survey or market research. If we involve third parties, they are obligated to maintain the confidentiality of your data. The retention period of your personal data varies depending on the study. Once the study is completed, we delete all data that could personally identify you.
Abuse and fraud
We may use customer data to prevent abuse and fraud and to conduct investigations in this regard. If necessary, we may pass customer data on to the relevant authorities.
Business customers and partners
We also retain personal data of contact persons of our business clients and partners. We treat this data with the same level of confidentiality as other customer data.
Legal grounds for processing
Chronopack processes personal data based on the following legal grounds:
Consent (e.g., sending newsletters)
Necessary for the performance of a contract (e.g., processing your order)
Legal obligation
Necessary to protect our legitimate interest in conducting business
If the processing is based on consent, you always have the right to withdraw that consent.
